Gardein Turk'y Cutlet Dinner

This last week was super busy once again so we did rely on some super fast frozen items such as Gardein this week.  Normally I would have some dinners available frozen in our freezer but considering we only have one shelf in the freezer and one in the fridge reserved for our items, it does get a bit full before I can make extras.  So, this is the best method for us right now.  By all means though, if you have space available, please make something homemade and just toss it in the oven – it’s healthier and more cost efficient.

This week Genki Husband wanted to have Chick’n Scallopini, but for some reason he always grabs the Turk’y Cutlets on accident.  It’s only happened about three times now.  We generally do not care for the breading on the Turk’y Cutlets but it is mainly because we do not prefer to have breading on anything so it is just a personal preference instead of quality.  If you like breading, I figured I would show you how simple it is to prepare these little cutlets that come with frozen gravy.

Here’s a picture of the packaging. We purchase this at Meijer Grocery Store but we have seen it in other stores around the nation. It comes with 4 cutlets and 2 small packets of gravy. If you are a serious gravy lover, I’d suggest making your own to add to the pkg’d ones.

You take the frozen package out of the freezer and place the gravy packets in some hot water.

Then you place the frozen cutlets in a lightly sprayed frying pan for about 5 minutes on each side. I like to place a lid on top of the pan for the first side to assure the inside thoroughly cooks all the through. The package suggests using a thin layer of oil but we have found the cutlets turn out too greasing.

Then you take the cutlets out of the frying pan and serve hot or you can make them into a cold sandwich lunch.  Super easy, right!
