Wednesday’s are normally my hard work days, too much for too many hours in the day. Additionally it is the day I am conflicted with lack of motivation after seeing we still have a few more days left of the work week. This week beheld no shortage of stress and work… Without trying to say too much, our landlords have been setting up a lot of ‘maintenance’ appointments each month which we have to take off of work to meet them at our house (we rent in VA). So this last appointment we were told to be at the house on this date and this time, we kindly declined because seriously people can only take so much time off work before getting fired, right? No work = no pay… I do work from home but I still have many deadlines and other daily tasks to complete that are time sensitive and require my entire attention. Work at home doesn’t mean, “play at home” and work occasionally. It’s actually much harder to work from home, especially when you have landlords’ that don’t understand the difference and take advantage. So long story short our landlord setup an appointment, we said no, they didn’t listen, and now they are trying to charge us for a missed appointment. Very frustrating to say the least and you can tell in the food I consumed today. At first I wasn’t going to share but then I figured, you know what, other people have frustration days too and will understand.
Breakfast: Oatmeal, molasses (20% DV iron in 1 tbsp), coffee and an English muffin with Ikea seaweed caviar (vegan), peanut butter, lignon berry jam, & a little vegemite. (I had a little bit of each like a painters’ palate.
Snack: 30oz Japanese Green Tea (Challenge for TIU Bikini Babes- total caffeine buzz)
Lunch: A green smoothie of ½ banana, 1 cup kale and 1 cup Trader Joe’s Unsweetened Almond Milk.
Snack: Some Cheerios around 4pm and a little watermelon
Dinner: Salad, Popchips Chili Limon with homemade guacamole & salsa
Snack: Teavana Lemon Lime Chilled Tea with Ikea Dark Chocolate squares
Special Item: I did manage to make my 5 minute Dill Pickles! So fancy, I know… mmmm
