I was wondering how your saurkruat turned out?? I follow another recipe for mixed vegies/salt and it just sits 3 days,,,I’ve got yours brewing right now.
It didn’t turn out so great. We figured it needed to be closed tightly instead of having a sauerkraut jar. Our kitchen is too moist, so there was mold in the end and couldn’t eat it. So sad! I’m sure it will turn out in a different environment and also in a tightly closed jar.
Too bad!! This is day 4 and no mold or bubbling, so not sure(thought there was to be some bubbling action?)my last 2 batches did. Also my recipe says to have a lid on, but not tightly, because of possible explosions(bubbling). Thanks again for info, will try mine out today and maybe just stick with recipe for now
Yea, I didn’t have much bubbling either. Sometimes you have to move around with a fork or spoon to release bubbles though.
